A Dubai desert safari costs between AED 60 and AED 300 per person for the shared packages, AED 250 for the overnight stay, and AED 2,500 per vehicle (up to 4 guests) for the private G-Class. The package most travelers book, the Evening Desert Safari, is AED 100 per person with hotel pickup, BBQ dinner and live entertainment included.
Quick answer: The cheapest safari is the Self-Drive at AED 60. The best value for most people is the Evening Safari at AED 100. VIP comfort starts at AED 150, and a fully private safari for four guests is AED 2,500.
The price difference between packages is not about the dunes. Every package takes you into the same desert. What changes is the camp, the seating, the food service and whether the ride is shared or private. This page goes through all eight packages, what each price includes, and what you still pay for at the camp.
Seven of our eight packages are priced per person, and the G-Class is priced per vehicle for up to four guests. These are the current prices on our website:
Prices can change, so check the product page for the current rate before you book.

The price of an evening-style safari covers the whole shows, not just the ride through the dunes.
Hotel pickup and drop-off are free from Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. VAT is already in the price. The BBQ dinner is included, along with soft drinks, tea and coffee. All food is halal, and vegetarian dishes are available without any advance arrangement. Camel riding and sandboarding are free once you are at the camp.
Two packages work differently. With the Self-Drive you reach the meeting point yourself, so hotel pickup does not apply. The Morning Safari has no camp and no dinner, which is why it is a lighter, shorter tour. Airport pickup can be arranged for an extra cost.
A few extras are paid at the camp and are not part of the package price.
If you want quad biking, our guide on whether the quad bike add-on is worth it helps you decide before you spend.
Children under 4 ride free, and children aged 4 to 9 pay a reduced child price instead of the adult rate.
The exact child price depends on the package, so confirm it when you book. The G-Class is priced per vehicle rather than per person, so it works differently from the other seven packages.
For most travelers the Evening Desert Safari at AED 100 is the best value, because the price already covers pickup, dinner, entertainment and the full dune programme.
The Self-Drive saves AED 40 per person against the Evening Safari, but only makes sense if you have a car and are happy to drive to the meeting point. If you would rather be collected from your hotel, the Evening Safari is the better deal.
VIP Premium at AED 150 adds VIP seating and table service for AED 50 more than the Evening Safari. Gold and Platinum move further up in comfort. Platinum, at AED 300, gives you the private air-conditioned room. If you are choosing between the three, our comparison of budget vs luxury desert safari price tiers shows what you actually get at each level.
The G-Class is about privacy, not saving money. With four guests it works out at AED 625 per person, more than double the Platinum price. You choose it when you want the vehicle, the camp and the whole evening to yourselves.
The total depends on group size, because seven packages charge per person while the G-Class charges per vehicle. These totals use adult prices:
Looking at the whole range, the broader Ultimate Dubai Desert Safari Guide explains which package suits which type of trip.
Two adults on the Evening Desert Safari pay AED 200 in total (AED 100 each), with hotel pickup and BBQ dinner included. The same two guests on VIP Platinum would pay AED 600.
The cheapest package is the Self-Drive at AED 60 per person, but you drive yourself to the meeting point and hotel pickup does not apply. If you want pickup included, the Evening Desert Safari at AED 100 per person is the lowest price.
