Our desert safaris range from 60 AED to 2,500 AED, and unlike a simple "cheap vs expensive" split, each price jump buys something specific — transport convenience, camp privacy, or exclusivity. Here's the full ladder, so you know exactly what your budget gets you before you book.
The Self-Drive Desert Safari is the cheapest entry point — you drive to a meeting point yourself, and from there the experience is identical to our standard tour: dune bashing, camel riding, sandboarding, the same BBQ buffet, and the same six live shows. At this tier, you're only saving on hotel pickup, not on any part of the actual safari.
The Evening Desert Safari adds hotel pickup and drop-off from Dubai, Sharjah, or Ajman, with everything else identical to the self-drive version. This is the tier where you get the full standard experience with zero transport planning required.

Two different tiers meet at the same price here. The Morning Desert Safari trades dinner and entertainment for cooler temperatures and a shorter 3–4 hour daytime trip. The VIP Premium Safari keeps the full evening format but adds a dedicated VIP seating area at camp instead of open group tables. Same price, genuinely different experiences — the choice depends on whether you want daytime and shorter, or evening and more exclusive seating.

The VIP Gold Safari steps up from Premium with a separate private table and hookah service at camp, rather than a shared VIP area. The core activities and entertainment stay identical — this tier is purely about camp privacy.
The VIP Platinum Safari is the top of our shared-vehicle tiers — a fully private, air-conditioned room at camp, a tabletop grill for self-cooked BBQ, a longer camel ride, and an exclusive falcon photo. You can still choose a private or shared vehicle for the ride out, but the camp experience is private regardless.
The G-Class Private Desert Safari is priced per group, not per person, for up to around four guests. This is the only tier where the vehicle itself is exclusively yours from pick-up to drop-off, not just the camp seating. For a group of four, that works out to roughly 625 AED per person — more expensive than Platinum, but for full journey privacy rather than just camp privacy.

The jump from 60 to 100 AED buys you hotel pickup. The jump from 100 to 150–300 AED buys you increasingly private camp seating, not better activities — dune bashing, camel riding, and the six live shows are identical across every shared-vehicle tier. The final jump to G-Class buys you a private vehicle for the entire journey, not just the camp.
Once you know what you're optimizing for, the choice usually comes down to one of these:
Comparing two specific tiers head-to-head? Our G-Class vs VIP Platinum guide covers that exact comparison in more depth.
What's the cheapest way to do a desert safari in Dubai?
The Self-Drive Desert Safari, from 60 AED per person, is our most affordable option. You get the same dune bashing, camel riding, and entertainment as the standard tour — you're only saving on hotel pickup.
Is the Morning Safari cheaper or more expensive than VIP Premium?
They're the same price, 150 AED, but very different experiences. Morning trades dinner and entertainment for cooler daytime temperatures and a shorter trip, while VIP Premium keeps the full evening format with more private camp seating.
Do the activities get better as the price goes up?
No. Dune bashing, camel riding, sandboarding, and the six live shows are identical across all shared-vehicle tiers, from Self-Drive through VIP Platinum. Higher tiers buy more privacy and camp comfort, not a different adventure.
Is G-Class worth the jump from VIP Platinum?
Only if privacy for the entire journey — not just the camp — matters to your group. For groups of three or four, the per-person cost gap narrows considerably compared to Platinum, though Platinum is still typically cheaper on a strict per-person basis.
