What Self-Drive Actually Means

Self-drive is sometimes called a "Meeting Point Safari," and the name explains it well: instead of a hotel pickup, you drive your own car to a designated meeting point, where free parking is available. From there, our team takes over — you're transferred into the desert by 4×4, and returned to the same meeting point afterward to continue your day with your own vehicle. It starts from 60 AED per person.

This isn't a "you drive the dunes yourself" option — the actual dune bashing is still handled by our professional drivers in a Toyota Land Cruiser. Self-drive only refers to how you get to the meeting point, not the safari itself.

What Guided (Hotel Pickup) Actually Means

The Evening Desert Safari includes hotel pickup and drop-off from Dubai, Sharjah, or Ajman, starting from 100 AED per person. You don't need to arrange transport or find a meeting point — a driver collects you directly from where you're staying and brings you back at the end of the night.

What's Identical Between Both Versions

Beyond transport, there's no difference in the experience itself. Both include dune bashing, camel riding, sandboarding, henna painting, Arabic costume photography, the same six live shows — Belly Dance, Tanoura, Fire Show, Saeedi Dance, Dabka Dance, and Sofi Dance — and the same BBQ buffet with unlimited soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Choosing self-drive isn't a downgrade of the actual safari; you're paying less specifically because you're handling your own transport to the meeting point.
